Alliance for Cape Fear Trees (ACFT) is a program of Renaissance Wilmington Foundation and its mission is to preserve, protect, and plant trees to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations in the greater Wilmington area.

ACFT has an active core of experts in trees and advisory services relating to the nurture, protection and regulation of the Urban Forest. Some members are veterans of the Wilmington Tree Commission, which is a City advisory board. The non-profit affiliation allows ACFT to accept complementary grants that are not accessible by the City or surrounding counties, so all entities work together harmoniously.

The relationship with RWF provides financial, accounting and nonprofit qualification with no burden of cost to ACFT for services rendered. RWF benefits from the expertise of ACFT when dealing with tree and landscaping matters which arise frequently as RWF seeks to improve the Riverwalk and the Wilmington Region. Thus, all parties benefit from the close cooperation achieved.
